Mise en place
Efficient planning is crucial for ensuring that everything is in the right place at the right time in the kitchen. Unfortunately, even today, this is still mostly done on slips of paper or pre-printed lists in professional kitchens. This is an anachronism that costs valuable time, often causes errors and ultimately inevitably compromises quality. The solution is quite simple: professional, digital task management.
Although there is a wide range of apps available for this purpose, there is a lack of solutions that are tailored to the specific situation in restaurant kitchens. This prompted me to combine my extensive experience as a professional chef with my knowledge from almost 20 years as the founder and managing director of an IT company to develop this app.
Features:
- Creation and modification of individual tasks
- Adding and assigning dishes, menus and items
- Planning of tasks to be completed
- Filter function, sorting, search function
- Display of tasks by dishes, menus and items

Dish Counter
This counter is made for the professional kitchen. Most of the restaurants still use these little printed notes to send the orders to the kitchen. As soon as many orders are rushing in it gets challenging for the cook to keep track of how many portions of what dish in what order to make. This simple app is the short term solution (before these silly paper prints are history):
Features:
- Add a new task, separate multiple tasks by a comma
- Add a position (optional)
- Increase the number of tasks with a single tap
- Reduce the number with a double tap
- Reorder tasks with a long tap and move up or downwards
- Swipe to the right to edit a task
- Swipe to the left to delete a task
- A simple and elegant way to keep track.
I know, the range of apps for this in the appstore is very extensive. However there is no solution that does justice to the specific situation in the restaurant kitchen. This was the reason for me to combine my by now extensive experience as a professional chef and my knowledge from almost 20 years as founder and managing director of an IT company to develop this app.
